A CGC representative was present to authenticate this book’s signature when Todd McFarlane signed it for CGC's Signature Series on Febuary 3, 2006. Not only is this book signed, but at a CGC graded 9.9 MINT, it is the Highest Graded CGC Signature Series copy of Spider-Man #1!

It’s one of only two Spider-Man #1 Silver Edition Signature Series to have received a 9.9! The other copy looks like it has disappeared into the abyss (or into a private collection) as the only sale registered by GPA was our purchase of this book in April 2006. Since then, the only GPA-recorded sale was for Spider-Man #1 Silver Edition Signature Series was for $999.99 for a Stan Lee-signed book.
