This important issue launches one of comicdom's most popular franchises, the Legion of Super-Heroes! A very tough book to find in any grade, but this is a very nice, mid-grade copy of this true classic!

Published in 1958, this CGC 5.5 copy still has excellent eye appeal despite nearing 50 years of age. The cover displays some gloss with very nice corners (and an especially sharp top right corner). Page Quality is OFF-WHITE which is tough to find for books of this era, many of which have CREAM Pages or even TAN Pages.

At the time of this IPO, there were only 80 Unrestored copies of Adventure Comics #247 that have been graded by CGC. The ComicShares.Com copy ranks in the top third tier with only 23 graded higher.

In terms of availability, there is currently only one copy listed for sale on eBay and that is a CGC 4.0 with an asking price of $1,475!
